These comprehensive online courses equip new or experienced project managers with the knowledge and skills to pass Project Management Institute (PMI) certification exams, including Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) and Project Management Professional (PMP®).

The courses also fulfill PMI's certification requirements for a specific amount of formal project management training.

Each self-paced online class includes access to training for 12 months. The cost of certification exams is not included in the price of the course.

Upon successful completion of a program, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from University of Arizona Continuing & Professional Education.

For New Project Managers: CAPM®

Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Exam Prep

This self-paced online course will provide entry-level project managers with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully complete the Project Management Institute’s nationally recognized Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) exam. This comprehensive course will use learning activities, practice exams, and assignments to help participants prepare for, and successfully complete, the CAPM exam. 

This course also fulfills a CAPM exam prerequisite by providing the required hours of formal project management education.

Note: PMI will be releasing a new version of the CAPM exam in 2023. Registration for this course is on hold while it is updated to align with the new CAPM exam. We do not yet have a launch date for our updated CAPM course. 

According to the PMI October 2022 Exam Content Outline (PDF), the new CAPM exam will be significantly different from the current exam. If you are planning to take the CAPM exam in 2023, you should register for a course that will prepare you for the new CAPM exam.

Who Should Take Self-Paced Online Training?

Self-paced online training allows you to learn these skills online, any time that works for you. This is a good option for those whose work or family commitments make it difficult to attend scheduled training.

Because the training is self-paced, you will not have regular interaction with an instructor or other students, and there is no specific class schedule that you are required to follow. That means you will need to be persistent and motivated to stay on track to complete your training and earn your certification.
