Katharine Lehrman Carey

Program Coordinator

Katharine Lehrman Carey is a program coordinator for CaPE, overseeing a variety of functions associated with the noncredit programs offered at The University of Arizona. She is the primary point of contact for learner support and registration, and she is responsible for reconciling all CaPE finances associated with class registration.

Katharine’s career journey began in Chicago as a mental health assistant, followed by retail management and culminating with non-profit development at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.  After relocating to "sunshine-drenched" Tucson, Katharine resumed her career journey by working with developmentally challenged elementary students. Prior to joining the University, she worked for the Town of Oro Valley assisting residents with new and established business policies and practices. She also worked with the OLLI-UA program, a non-credit lifelong learning program open to all adults over the age of 50.

She is dedicated to the belief that every individual has the potential to develop a career armory of tools at any stage during their life, and at any age. Knowledge, desire, and commitment are the keys to reaching both your career and life goals!
