Gabe Alcala, Business Development Manager, ATEC: Gabe Alcala has been with ATEC for 18 years, specializing in RF & Microwave and EMC test and measurement. Throughout his career, Gabe has contributed to international IEEE conferences, presenting papers on RF safety, and has delivered hands-on training sessions on RF safety to industry professionals, universities, and government agencies. In his role at ATEC, a global provider of test and measurement equipment, Gabe is dedicated to educating customers and the broader industry on the essential principles of RF safety—a topic often overlooked in academic curricula. He is based in San Diego. He is an active member of the IEEE as Former Section Chair of the IEEE San Diego Section, was elected to the Board of Directors of the IEEE EMC Society, and the vice chair for the IEEE Southern California Council.
