How is Beginning Project Management different from the University of Arizona Project Management Certificate Program?

Beginning Project Management is a single, self-paced course focused on building a project plan in about 35 hours. It's a shorter, lower-cost starting point for learners who want to build foundational project management skills, distinct from Arizona Online's longer, cohort-based Certificate Program.

How long will I have to complete the Beginning Project Management Course?

You will receive and retain access to the course material for 6 months from your initial registration date.

Does Beginning Project Management count toward CAPM certification?

Is Arizona Online a PMI partner or authorized training provider?

Arizona Online is not currently a Project Management Institute (PMI) Authorized Training Partner. Any future PMI relationship, and any CAPM or PMP-related claims, will be added to this page only once that partnership is formally confirmed.

Will completing this course make me eligible to sit for the CAPM exam?

No. Eligibility for the CAPM exam is determined solely by PMI, not by Arizona Online, and requires meeting PMI's own education and experience criteria. Completing Beginning Project Management does not guarantee CAPM or PMP eligibility.

Is this the same as a PMI certification?
